This 140 lb. acid-free, heavy-weight watercolor paper is made to stand up to the various watercolor media! Grabie specially designed two different surfaces that adapt beautifully to a variety of techniques: One side is cold press the most popular surface for most watercolor work, while the other side is hot press, which is smoother and ideal for detailed work.

Beginners' practice and artists' work have different demands on the material of the paper. Grabie balances multiple needs and offers 2 choices of watercolor paper — 100% wood pulp and 100% cotton pulp papers.

100% cotton paper is popular with watercolorists of all levels because of the fine and even washes that can be achieved using this sheet. The artist-grade watercolor paper will protect your art from becoming yellow and brittle over time.

Wood pulp paper is an economical alternative to 100% cotton but still maintains a high quality. The student-grade paper is also acid-free with neutral ph. It's best suited for beginning watercolorists or for experimentation and perfecting techniques.

  • 100% cotton paper / 100% wood pulp paper
  • Acid-free, neutral ph, natural white sheets
  • Paper quality: 140 LB paper (300 GSM)
  • Each pad contains 15 sheets (30 pages)
  • Size: A5 / 5.8 × 8.3 inches
  • Excellent paper for wet painting with watercolors and mixed media uses

The paper is thick, it smudges easily and doesn't penetrate, which is what I wanted.
